Becoming Mrs. Clark

I decided I should probably just bring in this new blog by starting at the best day of my life.

The day when my name was changed and my heart was officially stolen... for e t e r n i t y.

However, the road to perfection ain't easy. And this perfect day wasn't going to give up without a FIGHT.

When you walk to school every morning to start work before class and snow is blowing sideways into your eyeballs, when you have countless exams and finals waiting to build tare your ego down, when the library is your best friend and you have no social life, when you have a schedule that is designed for something that is not a human, when you get sick and have no energy to move, when your diet consists of muddy buddies and water (not proud of that) and when you feel like you couldn't possibly take on anything more.... hold on. Because that's when you know. That's when you know it's not even close to being over. That's when you know life is about to get harder, and that God has a sense of humor. That's when you really understand the phrase "when it rains, it pours". So to all you living in a circumstance similar to what I just described, Smile. Because soon you will be given purpose. You'll be given clarity. And even if you're REALLLLY lucky, you'll be given a STUD of a man who will ask you to marry him in four months. And soon, everything is put into perspective.

If a semester from h e l l  wasn't going to stop me from marrying the love of my life, then neither would a completely unexpected and demolishing flood that will decide to destroy my parents house just weeks before. (remember the whole 'God has a sense of humor' thing?...not a joke). Although living in a hotel for a month would bring it's fair share of awkward encounter's with strangers in the laundry room or the constant fear that you lost your room key again, it had it's perks and I was ready to take on the final planning of my wedding day...especially because even if I thought I couldn't get anything done, at least my bed was made every morning.

Long story short, because of the absolutely incredible people in my life, it was finally April 26th, I was alive, I had a dress, a temple, and a hot man that I now could call my husband. Oh and a large beautiful barn I got to throw a huge party in that was surrounded by acres of gorgeous garden and farm land. Oh and every detail I could've ever hoped for, was completed and my wedding as a whole felt like my honest dream come true (or my dream that I had wished every day for while staring hopelessly into Pinterest). Oh and did I mention the weather was 75 degrees with 0% chance of rain? (Shout out to Washington...after 21 years, you finally pulled one out for me.)

My brial party was smokin'.
My reception was a giant party.
My family was reunited.
My chuck-t's were quite photogenic.
And.
My best friend became my Husband.

What more could a girl want? (BTW: the answer is: Nothing).

Now I present: APRIL 26TH, 2013
